Perfect way to end the season. My whole awkward experience was resolved and J finally picked a man! I thought I knew in what direction the plot was going but I kept getting surprise after surprise. There was one major cameo by Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino near the end of the episode. You may remember J loves Childish Gambino and was bummed when she thought that she was going to his show but ended up going to see spoken word. The scene between J and CG was pretty hilarious. Awkward at its best.
I’m not going to spoil this episode for you but all I have to say is “whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?” And it was going so well. New episode coming Thursday, December 1st.
The LA Leakers and my good friend Boogs sent over a little video of K. Dot sending some encouraging words while I was chillaxing in the hospital. I would have blogged it then but “it hurts when breathe.” *Diddy voice*
“There’s only one day a year when hoes and superheroes can run the streets without judgment.”
In this episode, the boss lady goes on vacation and leaves the office in Nasty Nina’s hands. Nina brings her minions and sorority sisters in to keep the Gutbuster employees in line. I’m scared for them! Gutbuster office = Nina hell.
Episode 9: “The Happy Hour” – J has to deal with the awkwardness of group dinners when Boss Lady rewards her Gutbuster employees by taking them out to dinner.
New episode coming out today. Catch up on the rest of the episodes —–> here.
Quick story. This song used to slightly annoy me because I would hear it so much. Then the official video came out and I started to like the song a little more. Now there’s a Halloween Home in Riverside, California that has a light show set up to “Party Rock Anthem.” ADORABLE.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, LMFAO’s Redfoo likes it, too, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “It’s one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in my life!” Foo adds: “I can’t wait to see what he does with ‘Sexy and I Know It.’”
“We always talk about breaking down the barriers between the band and the fans. We like sharing music with them, meeting them, interacting with them, as most bands do. So this felt like the ultimate interaction. Instagram was suggested to give photos taken on people’s phone a nice warm feel.” – Justin Young, lead singer
Instagram is the reason I bought myself an iPhone (then I fell in love with it and ditched my BlackBerry). The social networking photography app, privy only to iPhones/iPads, is a great way to share moments with friends, family and strangers vicariously living through you. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words. Instagram also brings out the inner photog inside you and forces you to be creative, some more than others. With all that being said, indie band The Vaccines asked their fans to submit their summer festival photos through Instagram with the hashtag #vaccinesvideo. The final product gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling. I loved it!

‘The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl’ is exactly what is sounds like. After my friend’s constant but lovable nagging, I sat (or laid) down and watched all seven episodes of ABG and immediately fell with all the characters. J is the awkward black girl, Nina is the evil biatch who is out to make your life hell and Cece is your favorite awkward friend. The rest of the characters just add to the hilarity of each situation J gets into at work and in her personal life. Jump on the bandwagon and watch all seven episodes, after the jump.
The final episode of the season premieres Thursday, September 8th. YES!
